Sometimes referred to as Mediterranean conservatories or sunrooms, lean-to conservatories are great for trapping sunlight inside. With their single-pitch sloping roofs, they can sit perfectly on bungalows or other properties where space is restricted under the eaves. However, by pitching the roof slightly higher, they fit just as well on terraced homes. Because they also have a square or rectangular shape, they can be accommodated in any small or awkward locations.
Usually rectangular with a low-pitch roof, this type of room is ideal for height-restricted locations and mixes clean lines with a modern feel. It can also be combined with other styles to create a combination conservatory.

The frames on our lean-to conservatories can be coloured in a number of different shades, allowing you to create a number of different looks for your home. If you prefer the appearance of a timber conservatory over a uPVC one, we can also apply a textured woodgrain finish to the framing, which looks just as good as real wood.
EnquireRoof
If you’d like to maximise the amount of light coming into your conservatory whilst still keeping in plenty of heat, one of our glass roofs is perfect for you. However, for maximum thermal performance, you need one of our Supalite tiled roofs instead. These offer some of the lowest U-values available.
EnquireGlass
From self-cleaning to tinted glass, we provide an extensive range of glass options to make living in your conservatory even more comfortable. So, whether you want to reduce glare from the sun, limit overheating or keep out more outside noise, we’ve got glass options that will help with all of these things and more.

EnquireFAQs
Although the cost of a conservatory is, generally, dependent on a number of factors, lean-to conservatories tend to cost the least. This is because they have a more simplistic design and one of their walls will already be built, reducing the amount of labour and number of required materials.
South-facing homes will experience the majority of sunlight, meaning they are perfect for sun-room conservatories. The thermally-efficient framing and glazing will help to prevent them from overheating, although the effects of this can be reduced further by opting for solar reduction glass.
Conservatories do not usually require planning permission, provided they stay within certain size restrictions. However, if you live in one of Devon or East Cornwall’s conservation areas, AONB’s or in a listed building, there’s a chance it will be needed. However, if planning permission is required, we can take care of it for you.
A conservatory is a fantastic way to add value to your home, perfect for anyone who is thinking it’s better to ‘improve rather than move’. Unlike the conservatories of old, you can feel comfortable inside one all year round too. This is because they come with energy-efficient windows and doors of your choosing. They also come fitted with Celsius performance glass, which is renowned for its exceptional performance and how easy it is to keep clean.
