LEARN MORE
Windows are an important, but often overlooked, part of any house. Drafty, poor quality windows might affect the look of your house and increase your energy bills.
New double-glazed windows and doors can make your home more energy-efficient, secure, and stylish.
Here at ADS Windows & Doors, we’re proud to use modern uPVC and aluminium components to create the perfect window solutions for homes all across the South West. This applies to all our double glazing units, windows, doors, and conservatories, no matter what style you have in mind.
We have a wide range of styles that can be customised to suit any home, whether you want a contemporary or traditional finish.
Aluminium windows give homes a contemporary, sleek, and stylish look. Like all our windows, they contain polyamide thermal barriers, and the aluminium material ensures that they are light, hardwearing, and durable. Their chic modern design and thermal performance can bring any house up to date.
For a more traditional finish, customers might consider uPVC windows and doors. uPVC is low-maintenance and cost-effective whilst also providing fantastic insulation and security. The material doesn’t need repainting and does not rust or rot, ensuring your windows are built to last.
No two homes are the same, so we offer a wide range of different window frames, styles, colour options, and finishes to suit your individual tastes.
All our windows are crafted and installed to a high standard from start to finish. Some of our most popular ‘A’ Energy rated uPVC and architectural aluminium framed windows include casement windows, flush sash windows, vertical sliding sash windows, pivot and bi-folding windows, top/side-hung windows, tilt and turn windows, and heavy-duty windows. Our windows also all have high-security glazing, dual colour options, and excellent weather performance certified by BS6375 Parts 1 & 2. They are also all compliant with BS7950.
No matter what style of window you choose from ADS Windows & Doors, you’ll know that you’re choosing quality products that will improve the look and performance of your home.

FAQ
There’s no one answer to this as the cost of a window installation depends on a wide range of factors. This can include the material, type, style, and the number of windows you choose. Having said that, the average price varies from £500 to £3,200 per window.

This is entirely up to your preference. Windows can easily be fitted from either the inside or the outside, but it is much more common to have windows fitted from the outside of your home. This is simply because it reduces the likelihood of any damage to the inside of your home, such as minor damage to the plaster or décor.
However, if you would prefer them to be fitted from the inside, then simply let us know and we can arrange for your installers to do so.
Yes, but this depends on the age and condition of your existing window frames. If your existing frames are rotting, cracked, or in otherwise bad condition, you’re far better off just replacing the whole unit instead of only replacing the glass.
Even the most hard-wearing window materials degrade and break down over time, which makes them much less energy efficient and much more likely to be drafty and prone to condensation problems. Full-frame replacement windows will immediately and drastically improve your home’s insulation and prevent any unwanted air leakage from your window frame.
If your home’s window frames are relatively new and in great condition, you can choose to have a pocket frame window replacement, or insert windows. A pocket frame window replacement lets you replace the window by inserting the new window into the existing frame, which means you can upgrade the glass or double glazing technology without having to replace perfectly good window frames.
Again, this depends on the condition of your windows. If only one window is worn, inefficient, or broken, you could just replace that one.
However, severe wear and tear on one window can be a sign that your other windows are damaged or need replacing, especially if your windows are of similar age. However, wear depends on many factors including installation, usage, maintenance, and exposure to the elements.
If you notice that your windows are old and becoming worn, it might save you time, hassle, and money to simply replace all of them at once.
If you’re unsure about whether to replace your windows, our team of experts can help you check your windows and provide impartial guidance. They can also help you decide whether to replace a single window or all windows of the same type.
rnIf you prefer contemporary aluminium windows over ever-reliable uPVC, rest assured that you wonu2019t ever have to sacrifice thermal performance. Both types of window come fitted with the latest energy-efficient glazing, plus they utilise polyamide thermal breaks and heat-trapping chambers respectively. This allows them to achieve standard energy ratings of ‘A’. Therefore, by replacing any old windows with either option, youu2019ll almost certainly warm up your home, reducing your energy consumption in the process.
